Dr. Scott Torns has been providing quality chiropractic services in Commack, NY for over a decade. Nestled between the towns of Huntington, Smithtown and Babylon, he is conveniently located just north of the intersection of Larkfield Road and Jericho Turnpike, on the east side of Larkfield Road.
A graduate of New York Chiropractic College, "Dr. Scott" employs a holistic approach based on the most current treatment methods and research in the fields of chiropractic, biomechanics and physical medicine to insure the best of care for each patient. Each patient's treatment plan is tailored to their own unique problems and concerns.
Dr. Scott is one of only two chiropractors in Suffolk County trained to utilize the highly specialized Atlas Orthogonal chiropractic technique. This technique offers the best of chiropractic care with no uncomfortable cracking, twisting or jarring of the patient. Atlas Orthogonal stands alone as the first chiropractic technique to be published in a peer reviewed medical journal, The Journal of Whiplash and Related Disorders. Additionally, Dr. Scott utilizes diversified full spine adjusting, extremity adjusting, and activator adjusting. Lumbar and cervical decompression therapy with a Chattanooga DTS decompression table is available for those patients with disc herniations or bulges. Also available: Lumbar flexion distraction therapy and therapeutic exercises for core strength and fitness. Physiotherapeutic modalities, such as ultrasound, interferential current, combination therapy, and high volt galvanic stimulation are also utilized.
Our patients run the spectrum, from neck and lower back pain, biomechanical ailments, sports and work related injuries, to injuries sustained in motor vehicle accidents and job injuries. We have also helped reverse the effects of injuries caused by repetitive motion, poor posture, and improper lifting habits.
